I enjoyed the Guess by Marciano Fashion Show last week at the W Hotel. Two things, however, I did not enjoy while waiting patiently for the show:
A. The show didn’t start until 11:30 pm. Waaaay past my bedtime. And it was cold outside!
B. My favorite heels randomly got stuck in a crack-between-tiles. Boo! Thank god it didn’t break!!

Luckily my shoes survived!! Keep up with the W’s fashion shows by becoming a fan of their Facebook page here at W Scottsdale on Facebook. But remember to RSVP to get on the “list.”
Enjoy the pics!

The swag bag for VIP's with some Grey Goose, Young Blood Cosmetic Kit, W Magazine and more! Fantastic!

I heart Jeanne!!

I love a lady who rocks the runway!

A little dancing during intermission. Nice!

Just saw Nicole Richie rockin' the jean short with tights look last week at NYFW. Not sure if I'm on board with the trend yet.

The About Face models backstage
I went to the About Face Fashion Show at Pomeroy Arabians International last week and unfortunately couldn’t stay for the runway event – the dust in the barn was killing my allergies! However, I did sneak backstage for a peek at the models and was smitten with the hair styles created by the darling Luis Solis. So, here are my favorite ‘dos by Luis from the show…

My absolute favorite. I just love.

I've been dying for a messy. curly updo like this one.

Mark your calendars, Phoenix Fashion Week is set for September 30th – October 2nd, 2010.
Loving this!!
Phoenix Fashion Week will host the first ever eco-friendly fashion event in the valley. With increased global discussions about our carbon foot print, greenhouse gas emissions on the rise, man made environmental disasters in the news and the concern over depleting the earth’s resources, everyone is trying to do their part to become more environmentally friendly. Over the past few years, the fashion industry has taken note and now on September 30th, 2010, Phoenix Fashion Week goes green.
There is a wide range of options for the environmentally conscious consumer to live a ‘fashionably green lifestyle’ – a concept not new to Phoenix Fashion Week but one that will be a major focus during this year’s event. Throughout the line-up of more than 30 fashion designers, the eco-designers will use environmentally friendly techniques that include sustainable fabrics, safe dying inks, safe chemicals, and other natural design methods.
For this year’s event, the organization will incorporate sustainability and ‘living green’ in all aspects of the shows production. VIP’s, Eco Divas, fashionistas and paparazzi can mix and mingle in the new ECO Lounge. Featured models will be styled with organic makeup; attendees will get to walk the green carpet. Fashion week guests should expect everything from eco-friendly apparel and accessories to recycled furniture and organic refreshments.
“It’s our 6th Anniversary and as a brand we strive be on the forefront of all things fashionable. What these designers and companies are doing to help the environment just makes sense. Several of our Phoenix Fashion Week team members have been dedicated to green initiatives and sustainability for sometime. To us being green is more than just a color – it’s a lifestyle. Come September 2010, green will be the new black!” said Brian Hill, Executive Director of Phoenix Fashion Week.
