What a great show on Friday night for AGA Couture’s “Coleccion de Textura” at the Wrigley Mansion. The hair by Luis Alberto Solis was AMAZING – defying gravity in some cases! As for the garments, I really loved the use of satin throughout the show. Satin is such a fickle fabric, but Alex’s construction of each piece using the material was beautiful. I really LOVED the satin pants – both in tan and black. I bet they’re my size too! Mmmmm…they may just end up in my closet soon!

Hurricane Bay in Scottsdale is hosting a “Fall Fashion Runway Event” with fashion from one of my favorite places to shop FOREVER 21!!

This event will mark the first time Forever 21 has presented a seasonal preview of their merchandise anywhere in Arizona. Meet the lovely and fabulous Kim! She’s an Arizona girl, born and raised, and just as gorgeous and fashionable as she can be. Kim is celebrating her 18th birthday at the Mondrian Hotel this weekend, heading off to U of A on Monday and to celebrate her big day, I met with her and her equally fabulous mother, Roya, to chat about Kim’s “Valley” girl style and where she loves to shop.

1. Where’s your favorite place to shop? Scottsdale Fashion Square. But I also like the Gainey Shops, like Fleur’t.
2. What’s your favorite item in your closet right now? My True Religion cut-off jean shorts. On trend and cool for summer!

3. Who is your fashion inspiration? My mom! Aawwwwh! She’s my new fashion inspiration too!!
4. What specific store do you like to shop? I like Nordstrom because they have everything. Especially because they have the “Free People” line. Free People is one of my favorite labels because it’s cute, comfortable and perfect for summer.
5. Shoe-wise, what’s your favorite footwear? Sandals, especially now for summer.
