In celebration of its 10-year anniversary, Fashion Group International® of Arizona, Inc. will recognize 10 local fashion and design industry icons for their amazing contributions over the last decade at their Night of Stars gala on September 17, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. The evening will consist of a networking/cocktail hour, silent auction, raffle and sit-down dinner, followed by the awards presentation.

The distinguished list of honorees includes: YES / Arizona Republic; Amy Videan, Saks Fifth Avenue; Neiman Marcus; Judith Everett, Northern Arizona University; Kiran Rai, Sir Alistair Rai; photographer Ellen Barnes; jewelry designer French Thompson; Dennita Sewell, Phoenix Art Museum; Tom Simon, HUB Clothing; and fashion collector Robert Black. The event will be held at The Firesky Resort & Spa at 4925 N. Scottsdale Road. Tickets are $85 for individuals, $150 for couples, and $750 for a table of 10. Space is limited. Our favorite Beauty Apothecary & Spa is moving this week.  Glam Lounge is closed until Thursday 10 a.m. when it reopens at its new Old Town Scottsdale location. The new address: 4228 N. Craftsman Court, across from Dos Gringos.  The phone number and website is still the same – 480-945-1760, www.glamlounge.net. I plan to stop by on Thursday to check out the new digs!

I’ve missed you! Just back from Miami and feeling fashionably refreshed! Can’t wait to share some pictures from the “Bullets 4 Peace” fashion show at the Eden Roc this past Saturday night.
