The moment we’ve all been waiting for, dreaming about is nearly here! The opening of the new “East Wing” of Scottsdale Fashion Square. The new addition to my favorite mall includes Barneys New York, Forever 21, a HUGE Banana Republic, True Religion Store, Modern Steak and more! I’m super duper excited.

The fabulous ladies at Westcor invited me recently to tour the new wing.  Here’s a few pictures from my tour. Cannot wait until Thursday! Will you be at the Barneys or Banana Republic opening? What’s the first thing you plan on buying at Barneys? If you eat at Modern Steak, make sure to check out the interiors! The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous with the sparkly back walls, white lattice on the ceiling and the sexy, hot pink bathroom. I wish my house looked as fabulous!

The much anticipated grand opening of Barneys New York is just around the corner. October 15th, 2009 at 10:15 a.m. to be exact! Opening day for the Manhattan-based luxury emporium kicks off with complimentary champagne to toast the first and ONLY Barneys New York in Arizona. Barneys’ very own fashion icon, creative director Simon Doonan, will also be in attendance at the event.

Barneys New York features the top women’s designer collections from Balenciaga, Derek Lam, Dries van Noten, Givenchy, Lanvin, Nina Ricci, Rick Owens, Stella McCartney, The Row, a shop for Valextra fine leather goods, and expansive jewelry and accessory areas with offerings from Linda Lee Johnson, Sharon Khazzam, Mark Davis and Munnu, among many others.

5,000 square feet of the store is devoted to women’s shoes alone, with offerings in the spacious salon from Alaïa, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Christian Louboutin, Givenchy, Lanvin, and YSL, among many others.

Cosmetics, skincare and fragrances, home to Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle among many other exclusive offerings from Byredo, Cire Trudon, Serge Lutens, 3 LAB, By Terry, T. le Clerc and Dr. Sebagh will be on the lower level.

HELLO TRENDS!

Barneys CO-OP, the wayward offspring of Barneys New York, features contemporary apparel, shoes, and accessories from emerging designers and an extensive selection of denim in an industrial style environment that breaks from the store’s more refined, upscale atmosphere. The women’s lines in CO-OP will include Rag & Bone, Alexander Wang, 3.1 Phillip Lim, and Current/Elliott, among many others
