My dog ate my…

Shoe!! AAHHH!!

At first, I wasn’t happy. I just bought these!! I’ve only worn them a few times and they were perfect for so many casual outfits.  But then something struck me! These are Steve Madden shoes!! Could I really blame my four-legged friend for mistaking these for a chew toy?

I have argued recently that Steve’s shoes are the most UNCOMFORTABLE shoes I’ve ever worn. No matter the style, height or material, I always regret my purchase. In fact, Beth Church, of Beth Church Jewelry, and I were just talking about how much we hate his shoes last week!

So it makes me wonder, who tests the final product? Not Steve, I’m sure. He wouldn’t dare!  Are shoe manufacturers using REAL women or just simulating the wear and tear in a lab somewhere with machines. Machines that don’t complain, don’t pick up 30 pound kids all day, don’t walk thru the grocery store after a long day at work, aren’t balancing a 10 pound purse, don’t retain water and swell!!! I may have to investigate this further. If there is such a thing, I would like to speak with a supposed “shoe tester” and find out what exactly makes the grade?!

It’s a bittersweet goodbye to these sandals.  Thankfully, the pillage was isolated to these Steve Maddens that hurt my feet. For now, time to buy my doggie a bone and the new pair I’ve been eyeing at Nordstrom’s!
