Devani Weaver

Fresh off her win as Scottsdale Fashion Week’s 2008 “Designer of the Year”, Devani Weaver is a hot, young women’s wear designer capable of artfully mixing couture with punk rock.

Devani says she loves making dresses and it shows.  From the overall design to the often tedious details, her garments are a magnificent combination of underground fashion, couture and current trends.

I’m often amazed at how artists and their inspiration. Devani’s winning looks at Scottsdale Fashion Week was themed and inspired by “Romance Meets Punk Rock”. Currently she is working on a Katy Perry – themed beachwear line inspired by 1940′s Pin Up Girls with a more relaxed vibe. The beachwear line will debut at a small fashion show in Scottsdale next month will include playful designs and models of varying shapes and sizes.

This small town girl from Safford, Arizona has big dreams beyond our Phoenix borders. She plans to graduate from Phoenix College soon and will be looking for a fashion design job on the East Coast – maybe for her favorite Urban Outfitters!
