Oscar Night in Phoenix – Fashion Recap

Oscar Night America at The Sheraton Phoenix
Sunday night was a big night for Hollywood and for fashionistas in Phoenix! I attended the Valley’s only official Academy Awards viewing party, Oscar Night America, to benefit the Arthritis Foundation Greater Southwest Chapter at the Sheraton in Phoenix. I was so honored to be a part of the red-carpet paparazzi!! Here are some of my favorite looks and trends for the evening.
The trends…
The biggest trend for the night was the asymmetrical style dress. The one-shoulder dress worn by the event chair, Deborah Bateman, was Fashion Phoenix’s pick for “Best Dressed”. I loved everything about the dress – the color, the modern asymmetrical cut, the fabric. She looked comfortable, confident and glamourous!

Another trend of the night was the black rosette shoe. So chic, yet feminine.

More fabulous looks…
The classic black was definitely the color of the evening. It’s classic, dramatic and rarely wrong!

Thank you so much to Nancy Wikstrom, Director of Communication for the Arthritis Foundation Greater Southwest Chapter, for allowing me to crash their fabulous party! And to the live “Oscars”!! Thank goodness it was 80 degrees outside!
